You know, people are so stupid

Wreckin’ up their own neighborhoods

Smart as one but species stupid

An’ so much power to do no good

Watchin’ their world get so small

‘Til there’s nothing left at all

One neighbor starts a revolution

The other neighbor builds a wall

Some say they do it for their family

Others say they do it for their God

Can’t think beyond one generation

That’s gonna be what gets us all

Empty buildings, broken windows

Hey, let’s all get out of this town

When there ain’t nothin’ left but desert

We’ll pump the water up from the ground

How come nobody seems to notice

There ain’t much water left around

Now people know that there’s a limit

To this round world and everything in it

But when it comes time for them to act

People just forget this fact

Sun shines forever, they dig for oil

Air gettin’ thin, rainforest spoiled
